This is a fun and visually impressive way to make your forum postings look like real notes written on parchment paper.
- Download and save an image of a parchment. Try searching the web for one you like Google search.
- Open this saved image in a program like the Windows program Paint. Go to the Image->Attributes menu and set the image width and height to be 600 wide and 800 tall. That seems to be a good size.
- Using the text drawing tool to place your text. I like the font Viner Hand ITC.
- Save your parchment notice as a jpg. Be sure the size is smaller than 200kb.
- Create an album at Albums if you don't have one already. Upload your notice to your album.
- Visit your picture and right click on it and choose the Properties entry in the menu. Copy the Address to your clipboard (highlight address and Ctrl-C).
- Now create your forum posting. Put the following in your post but with the URL to your image

Sending LORE messages to PCs via the web is a great way to deliver lengthy messages in an in-character way. When your PC sends a letter this way, the other PC will be visited by a bird ingame and receive a rolled up scroll. The scroll can then be used to allow them to read the letter. This will cost you 50gp to send.
- While logged into LORE set your Public CD Key. This does not allow others to log onto your account or anything; there is no need to be concerned over this.
- Visit a PC's description by finding them on the Character Index or simply by clicking there name on the Server Status page.
- If you have set things up correctly, there will be a "Send Letter" link on their page; click this.
- From the message page, choose your PC that is sending the letter. This PC will have 50gp deducted from their bank account automatically.
- Fill in the subject and message and release the bird!
